There is a level above being recommended: being quoted. When AI cites a source inside its answer, that source becomes the authority the whole answer rests on. This is the third leg of the Trust Triangle, Citation.

AI quotes content that is clear, structured, and easy to lift. It rewards answer-first pages that state the point in the first lines rather than after paragraphs of story. It favors specific formats, including real case studies, side-by-side comparisons, and plain-language glossaries. And it favors fresh content, because pages tend to lose citation strength after about 90 days.

Take your most important page and rewrite the opening to answer the question in the first 200 words, then add schema. Publish one comparison or glossary entry your customers actually search, and put a review date on your top pages so the freshest version is the one AI pulls.
